Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. 

Musk attended the University of Pretoria and later transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned degrees in physics and economics. 

Musk founded X.com, an online payment company, in 1999. It eventually merged with Confinity, becoming PayPal, and was later sold to eBay for $1.5 billion.

In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp.) with the goal of reducing space transportation costs and making space travel more accessible. SpaceX has achieved numerous milestones, including reusable rocket technology. 

Musk joined Tesla Motors in 2004, leading the development of the Tesla Roadster, the first electric sports car. He later became CEO and played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the automotive industry with electric vehicles. 

Musk was involved in SolarCity, a solar energy services company founded by his cousins. Tesla acquired SolarCity in 2016, integrating solar energy solutions into its portfolio. 

Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015, an artificial intelligence research laboratory, to ensure the responsible development of AI for the benefit of humanity. 

Musk proposed the Hyperloop, a high-speed transportation system, and founded The Boring Company to address urban congestion through tunnel construction and infrastructure innovation. 

Elon Musk is known for his ambitious vision of the future, including the colonization of Mars, the development of brain-machine interfaces through Neuralink, and high-speed ground transportation with the Hyperloop.
